Annual Fashion Week of Pret-a-porter and Haute Couture was held in Paris, in the world capital of fashion and style. This week was full of other interesting activities.
- "Golden Oats" at the Vendom Square
Many designers have focused on the theme of the nature this year, praising wheat as a main idea. Once you are on the Place Vendome, an unusual scene is opened to your eyes: the entire square has become a field of golden wheat. This is an installation ingeniously invented by a famous contemporary artist Gad Weil, commissioned by Chanel to mark the launch of the new High Jewellery collection-Les Bles de Chanel. This project calls on us to love the nature, pay a tribute to it and never forget that we completely depend on it. Everybody was trying to be the first to publish selfies and photos taken there. Smartly decorated windows overlooked the square, attracting attention.
Many jewellery houses arranged a kind of "open days" for the fashion critics, bloggers and media representatives.
- Magnificent bracelets with natural feathers and precious stones
One of the trends of this season was the use of unusual materials and techniques; the preferences were given to blackened and rhodium plated gold, the use of real feathers or ebony mounted on gold.
- Emerald & Ebony Faceted Ring
- Green Turquoise & Tourmaline Ring
These delightful creatures that are no longer just ornaments, but works of art, waiting for their owners, sparkle under the bright light of bulbs in the window displays. You can look at them endlessly and only guess how the designers manage to find so many ideas and turn them into reality.
